Call of Duty: Blackout

I haven’t really played a COD since MW2, and while the current MP reinstates my distaste for the series, the Blackout mode is super addictive.

What are everyone’s thoughts? What are your favourite weapons? How do you think the game could be improved?

It’s quite well balanced I think and the only things that need adjusting are concussion grenades and level 3 armour.

As for weapons, the ABR is unchallenged as the best weapon in the game.

Blackout is pretty good, have had a lot of fun with friends in it. Would never play it as my only gamemode though

Stuns and armour are aids. Time to kill can be random sometimes and they need to widen the skillgap.

I enjoyed the first 2 weeks of multi player but all the un-fun shit got found out and it has no real counter-play to the cheesey bullshit.

Blackout runs as smooth as butter and is very fun, my gripe is with the core of its gameplay which is armour, and healing while in a gunfight. Can legit peg a dude with a full AR clip and they have counter play to get away from it to safety and heal in the process. Sure it insights more team play to peg 1 bloke at the same time, but I'm more interested in bullets hitting and being rewarded for out gunning someone, rather than out healing someone who spounges more due to finding better armour.

Still, best COD since Black Ops 2 by a country mile.

I must be the only one who really likes the multiplayer. It’s got problems, sure... but so did all of the CODs we enjoyed back in the day.

I also thoroughly enjoy watching the game on twitch etc too.

I've played more of the multiplayer than Blackout, while multiplayer is enjoyable for the most part I find the snipers very underwhelming; constant tags and poor registration.

I have never liked high time to kill games which makes this COD outside of the last two my most unplayed

I've been playing it on PC though, crushing kids on console could be more enjoyable

Tiny nerf to concussions (you can only carry one per bag slot now instead of two) was a welcomed addition.

Now they just need to do something about lvl 3 armour and the game will be almost perfectly balanced IMO. Personally, I’d like to see lvl 3 armour reduce damage to the same degree as lvl 2, the only upside being that it includes a helmet too.

Anyone played the new down but not out mode? Its far more exciting and fast paced than normal quads and offers some hilarious scenarios.

How does it work?

@Jewwfro Yeah. It’s pretty cool.

If you have at least one person alive when each of the circles start to shrink, everyone gets to jump out of the chopper again. Basically, a team will lose three players and the last guy will hide in a corner for a minute until his team returns.
